49ers vs Bears; Bears prove to be the huge underdogs
When the Bears came in to week three, most football fans believed that the San Francisco 49ers were going to dominate them at Soldier Field. The Bears are not a skilled team and have a lot of talent problems.
However, with worsening weather conditions and a perfect performance from the Chicago Bears, they were able to pull off an upset win. They won their game by a final score of 19-10, thanks to some excellent play in the second half.
In the first half, they didn’t do well in the all-important game against their opponents, but in the second half, they had a plan of attack and went on to win. The offense executed their strategy perfectly and delivered a decisive victory.
With a huge fourth quarter, Justin Fields was able to make some big throws which helped the Bears outscore the 49ers. The Bears were able to drive down the field just enough, put up points and win.
Fields completed 17 for 8 in the game. 2017 was certainly not his season, but it was enough to lead the Packers to victory when it really counted.
The Chicago Bears also had a strong defensive performance. Trey Lance and the 49ers offense only scored 10 points, with Eddie Jackson being one of the highlights for the Bears with his pick-six of the game.
When it came to predicting the Chicago Bears’ preseason win, Matt Eberflus made sure his team stayed disciplined and focused. The final score of this game was 3-0, giving him his first win as the head coach of the Bears. They were rewarded in difficult conditions by earning a hard victory over an elite team.
There is a lot to explore about this game that’s happening this Saturday. However, the key focus should be on how the Bears seem like they are building towards something good. With more talent coming in every year the team could really be making a rise. This is a chance for continued surprise wins to happen and with that, hope, optimism and belief in Chicago football fans will build again.
The San Francisco 49ers are a member of the National Football Conference (NFC) West division of the National Football League (NFL), and they are situated in the San Francisco Bay Area. They play their home games at Levi’s Stadium located in Santa Clara, California, 38 miles from San Francisco.
About San Francisco 49ers
The San Francisco 49ers are the oldest NFL franchise, and began in 1946 playing in the All-American Football Conference (AAFC). The 49ers were a charter member of the NFL when it was formed with all other teams at the merger. They play at Kezar Stadium in San Francisco before moving to Candlestick Park. From 1971 to 2014, they played their games during this period at Levi’s Stadium. In 1988, they moved out of Kezar Stadium into Santa Clara.
Soon after the 49ers were formed in 1946 the team won five Super Bowls between 1981 and 1994. Throughout their 50+ year history, they have made it to the AFC Championship 23 times and Super Bowl 17 times, which makes them one of the most successful teams in NFL history. The 49ers also lead in things like playoff wins (33), being able to get into the playoffs 33 times throughout their history. They also have hosted 10 NFC Championship games, an NFL record.
The club broke a number of significant NFL milestones, including the most consecutive road games won (18), the most points scored in a single postseason (131), the most consecutive seasons leading the league in scoring (4), the most straight matches scored (420 games from 1979 to 2004), the most number of fifield goals made in a season (44), the most games won in a season (18), and the most touchdowns (8) and points scored during the Super Bowl (55) in history.
In September 2019, the 49ers had a value of $3.05 billion making them the sixth most valuable team in the NFL. In 2020, they fell to 12th but still remained more valuable than their nearest rival, Los Angeles Rams. In 2018, the enterprise branch of the 49ers bought a minority equity stake in English football club Leeds United F.C.; during the 1921-22 season, ownership increased to 44%.
The 49ers official cheerleading squad began in the early 1980s, consisting of 14 members.
On November 20, 2018 when the 49ers played the Oakland Raiders, a San Francisco 49ers cheerleader was seen kneeling during the playing of the U.S. national anthem. It was the first time one of these NFL cheerleaders knelt during the anthem. The act began when Kaepernick began kneeling himself in order to bring awareness about racism and police brutality.
Sourdough Sam is the official mascot of the 49ers. 49 is his jersey number.
The San Francisco 49ers have three rivals within their division: the Los Angeles Rams, the Arizona Cardinals, and the Seattle Seahawks. They also have rivalries with other teams that arose from post-season games in the past, most notably the Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, and Green Bay Packers. They also share an intrastate rivalry with the L.A. Chargers (the two teams have played each other nearly every preseason, and every four years in the regular season, and also met in Super Bowl XXIX).
An actual shrine for players who have been with the San Francisco 49ers for 10 seasons or more, this club is named after founder Bill Walsh. Each player in black-and-white images on a red and gold plaque, their names are listed under the photo. The monument will be on display at their current team headquarters until September of 2020.
