Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says he’s in disbelief over Queen Elizabeth II's demise. He says shock waves run deep and wide across the world.
Justin Trudeau said, “She was one of my favorite people in the world.” It will be a sad day for many because she passed away at the age of 96.
Trudeau and Queen Elizabeth II had their first in-person meeting since the Queen returned from retirement in February tested positive for Covid-19.
She is the longest reigning monarch in British history, and 2nd longest in recorded history of a sovereign country.
Elizabeth, who was only 25 years old, became queen regnant of seven independent countries: the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Pakistan and Ceylon.
In 1947, Elizabeth married Philip Mountbatten and their marriage lasted until he died in 2021. They had four children together
Charles III, Anne, Princess Royal; Prince Andrew, Duke of York; and Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex.
